• Integrity Control and Evaluation of Machines and structures

Development of non-destructive inspection, on-line monitoring, and damage tolerance technologies to ensure the integrity of high-pressure hydrogen containers for innovative low-cost fuel cell vehicles” has been selected as a theme of the “Development of Advanced Technologies for Hydrogen Utilization” in NEDO’s “Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration R&D Project for Solving Common Problems Toward Dramatic Expansion of Fuel Cell Utilization. The project has been adopted. The research will be carried out in cooperation with six other institutes besides Tokyo Tech. The Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) will be responsible for overall coordination, damage tolerance technology, and detailed nondestructive inspection.
